A friend of mine sent me this link about how politics use the same methods as magicians.
Basically they say that because magicians make you think everything is okay and fair but they are really deceiving you, that politicians use the same methods.
They mention some magic words and talk about misdirection etc.
I find this really unfair because as a magician I use my skills purely to entertain, where as a politician may use them for different reasons.
I have taught and consulted actors and even criminal investigators on things such as Neural Linguistic Programming (NLP) etc and often get comments such as "you must use this for "insert illegal or bad activity here".
I dont, i use it for entertainment and nothing more, my goal is to make you think you have had an amazing time nothing more.
