There are moments in every magician’s journey that feel like milestones — moments you dream about as a beginner shuffling your first deck of cards, practising sleights in the mirror, imagining what it would be like to stand among your heroes. For me, one of those dreams has just become reality. I am incredibly honoured to announce that I have been invited to lecture at the world’s largest magic gathering — Blackpool Magic Convention 2026.
Even as I write this, it doesn’t quite feel real.
The Blackpool Magic Convention has always been a beacon in the global magic calendar. Thousands of magicians from every corner of the world descend on the Winter Gardens for a weekend of creativity, learning, inspiration, and pure fascination. It’s where tricks become legends, friendships are formed, and futures are shaped. To be asked to lecture here isn’t something I take lightly — it’s one of the greatest honours of my career so far.
What makes it even more surreal is the company I’ll be keeping.
This year’s bill features some of the biggest names in magic — icons who changed the industry, innovators who shaped modern illusions, and performers who inspired many of us to pick up our first pack of cards. One name stands out as a personal inspiration for me: Las Vegas and TV superstar Criss Angel. Growing up watching his work, I remember being captivated by his fearless approach to magic — the creativity, the intensity, the impossibility. To think that I’ll be sharing the same lineup as Criss Angel feels like a moment that my younger self would never believe.
The thought of standing on stage, lecturing for magicians from across the world, fills me with excitement and a healthy dose of nerves — the good kind. The kind that tells you something meaningful is about to happen. I can’t wait to share ideas, techniques, and routines that I’ve developed over years of performance. Magic grows when we share it, when we exchange perspectives, when we learn from one another. That’s what makes Blackpool special — it isn’t just a convention, it’s a community.
Being part of the 2026 convention means joining the long legacy of magicians who have stood in those lecture rooms before me — legends whose influence shaped magic as we know it today. To now step into that space, not just as an attendee, but as someone contributing to it, is deeply humbling and incredibly exhilarating.
As February 2026 draws nearer, I’m filled with gratitude — to the organisers for trusting me, to fellow magicians for their support, and to everyone who has shared the journey so far. I cannot wait to meet familiar faces, make new connections, and hopefully inspire others the same way I have been inspired many times at Blackpool myself.
This is more than a lecture. It’s a dream come true.
See you in Blackpool.
